About The Maker

Hey, I’m Laura Best — the maker behind all the Pickled pieces.

I’m a self-taught jeweller and I’ve been working at this craft on and off for the past two years. Making stuff with my hands is my passion.

I work with sand casting and precious metal clays, which is a mouldable form of silver that when fired leaves behind solid 99% pure silver or sterling silver. it is also made from 100% recycled fine silver particles.

Each piece is entirely hand-sculpted, with no molds or mass production, making every design truly one of one. While I can revisit an idea, it can never be replicated exactly — the beauty of handcrafting ensures each piece is uniquely its own

I design with intention, I think about the person who will wear each piece. how it will feel on their body, the energy it carries, the connection it sparks. I want it to feel like you. That’s what matters to me.

Am I a master? No. But I’m learning, experimenting, messing up, improving, discovering — and I feel lucky that I get to do that.
